Gates G-Force ATV CVT Belts
New Products, Other, Products — By Jerrod Kelley on February 25, 2011 at 9:10 am
I stopped by the Gates booth at the 2011 Indy Dealer Expo and saw an old racer who used to help ATV Sport with Cannondale ATV stories and mods. Rick Cecco, a highly talented utility 4×4 quad racer in the GNCC series was on hand to talk to dealers about Gates’ new G-Force Continuously Variable Transmission belts and his sponsorship with the company. Gates called the double cog CVT G-Force belts “a breakthrough” and “the next generation of CVT belt.”
The drive belt is constructed of high-performance Neoprene (CR) and aramid fiber loaded rubber. The belt features six parts (Cog jacket, Fiber loaded rubber [undercord], Tensil cord, Adhesion gum, Fiber loaded rubber [undercord], and top fabric [overcord]). The exterior also has a trapezoid and rounded, double cog design for heat control and flexibility.
