Shermansdale, PA (09/01/2011) – After taking the last two rounds off from the 2011 GNCC series, Cecco Racing’s Rick Cecco made the announcement that he will be returning in full force for the final five rounds of the season and is ready to take on any and all contenders for the podium.

After round six in Patton, PA, Cecco decided to take some time off to spend with his wife Deni and son Kane. “I took a short break from racing to concentrate on my family.  I am glad to say the time off was well worth it and that we are coming back to the final five races 100%,” stated Cecco.

All though a good portion of Cecco’s time off was spent with his family, he also took the opportunity to get in some testing and R&D during that time. “I wasn’t racing, but I did spend quite a bit of time working on set up and doing a bit of testing for my sponsors. I’m looking forward to going back and picking up where I left off and maybe stirring up the points a bit,” said Cecco, who took third in his class at the last race he attended.

“I really wanted to give a big thanks to all of my sponsors, family, friends, mechanic Denny Brechbill and supporters who have stood behind me while I took this time to spend with my family. I’m looking forward to getting back on the track at Unadilla to represent my sponsors and hopefully put them on the podium,” stated the former 4×4 Open class champion.

Round number nine of the 2011 GNCC series will be heading to Unadilla in New Berlin, NY on September 10th, where Rick Cecco will be going for the 4×4 Open win and the overall podium as he makes his return to the series for the final five rounds of the season.

Rick Cecco takes second at Steel Creek

Shermansdale, PA – Cecco Racing’s Rick Cecco Charged hard at round three of the 2011 GNCC series and took home a solid second place in the 4×4 Open class.

Steel Creek in Morganton, NC was the hosting facility for round three. Steel Creek is known as one of the more technical tracks on the GNCC circuit with its many hill climbs and creek crossings, but that didn’t slow Rick Cecco down one bit, in fact it’s this type of track where he feels right at home.

Rick Cecco was in the top five off the start, but quickly worked his way into third place in the first couple of miles into the race. Cecco would take over second place in lap two and swap positions a couple of times with Bryan Buckhannon after that, but Cecco was able to reclaim second despite all of the traffic and bottle necks that had formed and held his position all the way to the finish line. Cecco’s speed and determination also allowed him to take a respectable sixth place overall in the morning classes. Read more..

Shermansdale, PA – Cecco Racing’s Rick Cecco returns to the 4×4 Open Class for the 2011 GNCC series with some new sponsors and a new mechanic that will be helping him reach his goal of taking another championship.

New for the 2011 season is the addition of the Gates Corporation G-Force CVT Belts that Rick Cecco was recently promoting at the 2011 Indy Dealer Expo.

The G-Force belts are a break through in High Performance CVT belts. Additionally, the belts are a durable direct replacement, easy to install and cost less than the OEM stock replacements. “I am very happy to be campaigning for the Gates Corporation and their G-Force CVT Belts. The engineers at Gates have spend thousands of hours in the R&D of this belt which resulted in an incredible product and I am looking forward to a successful season with them” said Cecco.
